When it comes to easy dates nothing beats just taking your wife to brunch especially when she has been up in the night with the baby and she is in desperate need of a good coffee. However (and only those with kids will get this) the idea of taking a toddler to a nice cafe can be more stressful than actually worth it. So when I find a cafe that is great with kids I take note. One of those cafes is Onehunga Cafe.

Now I don’t want to give it away because I feel I might regret it but there is one table right next to a caged off (er I mean gated) playpen. Now if you can get that table you and your wife can actually sit together and peacefully enjoy your breakfast while your kids wreak havoc in the play area. Hec you can even pretend those aren’t your kids.

The food is always amazing here with really good portions, great coffee and super nice staff.
