Christmas is well and truly on its way and I am so excited. For me this is the best time of the year. Time with friends and family, Christmas parties, champagne and of course presents. Now the idea of receiving presents is great but sometimes it’s the giving that can be hard, or rather what to give.
When I think of the ladies in my life I know that nothing is better than makeup. You can not go wrong with spoiling your mom or friend with some fun new products. I am currently completely obsessed with TheBalm. I have been lucky enough to get to try some of their products and I am totally blown away by the pigment, high quality and how long the makeup lasts on my face. Not the mention the adorable 50’s inspired packaging! To help get you into the Christmas spirit I have created three Christmas Party looks for you using my favourite TheBalm products. It is amazing with how with a few items of makeup I can create so many looks.
For my first look its all about a bold lip and big lashes. This is perfect for that Christmas Party where you want to make an impression as red with always turn heads. Here I have used the Mad Lash Duo mascara to give big thick lashes. I kept my eye makeup pretty neutrul with just a black liner but by adding a few licks of the Mad Lash Mascara it made my eyes pop. For my lip I applied the Meet Matt(e) Hughes Lipstick in Romantic from the Mini Kit Volume 3. I have used a lot of matte lipsticks and these are by far my favourite. They are really creamy and they feel soft when they dry on the lips.
The next look is all about soft warm tones. Sometimes during the holidays you might want a more classic look that can go from event to event. This look is soft and feminine. For this look I used The Smoke Balm 4 Pallet. This little trio of colours has the shades to create lots of different looks from really natural to bold and ready for a night out. Remember with this kind of look its all about blending the shadows into each other.
This last look has summer written all over it. This look is all about warm bronzed skin and eyes with that glow you can only get in summer. This look is for romantic dates by the ocean and warm nights by the bonfire with friends. For this look I used The Girl’s Getaway to give my skin that tanned summer glow. I love these three shades and I used them in different parts of my face for different warms. For my cheeks and eyes I used the In the Balm of your Hand Volume 2. This pallet would be the best gift this Christmas because it would suit almost everyone.
