How to kick winter in the butt

Now I am not going to lie I love winter. The cozy evenings when it’s raining outside, hearty meals and crackling fireplaces. Ok I know that sounds so cheesy but I love winter.

But you know what I don’t love? Runny noses, dry skin and cold dark mornings. So I have some easy tips to kick winter in the butt.

Firstly when it comes to winter usually the first thing that happens to our body is everything dries out. Our skin and hair especially. To give moisture back into my skin I use Aveeno’s Daily Moisturizing Lotion and Body Wash. Now I have tried a lot of body washes in my day but this body wash really does leave my skin feel like butter after. Both contain soothing oatmeal which will help if your skin is flaky.

Our faces hit most of winter’s harsh conditions when we are out and about during our day. With cold winds hitting the delicate skin on your face it can leave your skin really dehydrated. I recently tried Trilogy’s Rosehip Cream Cleanser and the Rosehip Vital Moisturizing Cream.  Using a cream cleanser means cleansing won’t strip your skin and Rosehip is like a glass of water for your skin. Anyone that follows my blog knows I am a big Rosehip fan.

During these colder months it can be easy to not treat your skin but this is when you need to the most.
