Berta Bridal is my newest crush. If you don’t yet know the name Berta I would recommend sitting down—because this wedding dress designer is going to knock your socks off. Berta Bridal is an Israeli designer with more than 16 years in the industry but only recently has Berta emerged as one of the foremost bridal designers.

Her latest 2014 collection debuted in New York last December and was one of the most anticipated shows from which no one left disappointed. Dancing perfectly between demure and sultry with long sleeves, plunging necklines and low backs Berta’s inspiration was movies, theatre and history from Western Europe during the 15th and 16th centuries.

These gowns are not for the shy bride but if you want jaws to drop for all the right reasons then this is your designer. Looking through the collection it’s the fabric that steals the show. “The luxurious fabrics, which are imported from fashion capitals around the world, go through a handmade development process in Berta’s studio. By doing this, Berta has consistently new and unique textures of fabrics for her line of bridal dresses.” Berta is certainly one to keep an eye on. With each new collection she constantly astonishes the fashion world as her fabrics seem to get more delicate, the cut more refined and the silhouettes more feminine.
