I love weddings! I love everything about them and that’s probably why I am a wedding makeup artist. I am lucky that with my job I get to see all sorts of different weddings. From the traditional to the most classic of weddings I have seen them all. However when one of my lovely brides Kiri sent me her wedding photos I was blown away. I love everything about Kiri’s wedding. To me her wedding is a kiwi as it gets. It was a day about relaxing outside with friends and family and having a picnic! Check it out and maybe this will give you some inspiration for your next event.

What I loved about Kiri was she was so relaxed on her wedding morning that it made sense when I saw the rest of her day that the theme was relaxed and happy. Kiri went for a really natural look since she doesn’t where a lot of makeup normally. Plus anything too dramatic would not have gone with her day. Amelia Rush from Boutique Bride did her stunning hair.

What made this wedding so special was all the details. Each part of the day was thought out and the theme flowed from the picnic blankets, to the ice cream truck right down to the napkins.

Kiri and her now husband Matt really thought about the day from their guests point of view. So there were lawn games, refreshments before the reception and even candy bags for the kids.

That cake has to be one of my favorites. I just love how I have never seen a cake like that before.

This wedding should inspire all bride to be that your wedding can be whatever you want it to be. If you are not a “traditional” kind of girl then why would you want a traditional wedding? You wedding day is about you and your partner so do what makes you happy. ♥
