Red Carpet Looks We Cant wait for

The Golden Globe nominations have been announced, and in a way that signals that we’re officially into awards season for cinema (and to a lesser extent television). It’s a happy time of year for film lovers, as well as those of us who look to celebrities for fashion inspiration – or just because they’re so stunning to watch!

Of course, one of the best things about the red carpets at these shows – the Golden Globes, the SAG Awards, and best of all the Oscars – is being surprised. You never know when a given actress is going to show up in an incredibly bold outfit, or better yet, if she’s going to pull it off! Nevertheless, it’s fun to make predictions and guesses now and then. So with that in mind, here are a few of the actresses whose looks we can’t wait to see in the coming months.

Millie Bobby Brown

Millie Bobby Brown

The young Stranger Things is simply refreshing, whether she’s giving interviews, appearing on talk shows, rapping (a habit of hers), or walking the red carpet. She had a wonderfully playful Calvin Klein gown that perfectly suited her age for the Emmys, and she’ll undoubtedly be adorable once more at the Golden Globes. Granted she’s a child, but she still serves as a nice reminder that all this stuff should be fun rather than stuffy.

Julia Louis-Dreyfus

Julia Louis-Dreyfus figures to be one of the television actresses most prominent at the Golden Globes, given her starring role in Veep. The show recently announced it would be coming to a close before collecting a host of Emmy nominations anyway – and ultimately winning Best Comedy Series. And let’s be quite clear: Dreyfus was gorgeous on the Emmys red carpet, in a black gown with a sort of wrap-around swirl of golden floral patterns. We can’t wait to see if she’ll top it at the Globes.

Charlize Theron

Charlize Theron makes regular appearances on “best dressed” lists, including at last year’s Oscars when she wore a pleated metallic gown that turned heads all around the show.

It’s unclear what kind of role she’ll have at the various shows early in 2018, but she always seems to be around (often presenting awards), and she did have a highlight film this year in Atomic Blonde, even if it’s not really award material.

Margot Robbie

Robbie’s first major emergence in Hollywood circles came through her role in The Wolf Of Wall Street, and while she made an impressive debut she was such a new face it was hard to say where her career would go. Now, it seems clear she’s destined for years as a serious, top-notch actress. Her work in I, Tonya is being called the role of a lifetime, meaning she could be up for major individual awards (she has a Best Actress nomination at the Globes already). Throw in the fact that she’s always a vision on red carpets, and we can’t wait to see what she looks like.

Sally Hawkins

Sally Hawkins

Sally Hawkins is an interesting pick because, frankly, she usually opts for a somewhat understated look on the red carpet. This year however she may be more prominent than ever before at award shows. After a Golden Globe nomination for her performance in Guillermo del Toro’s The Shape Of Water, Hawkins is an Oscar frontrunner, and will command more of the spotlight accordingly. It’ll be fun to see how she presents herself.

Nicole Kidman

And then there’s Nicole Kidman, who is essentially the perennial queen of the red carpet, with so many incredible looks over the years it’s impossible to keep track. Need we say more?♥
