When it comes to my skin I am always been on the look out for natural products that actually work. I am especially looking for natural products now that I am pregnant.
As much as I love some makeup products when you have a look at the ingredient list it can be a little unnerving.
So you can imagine my excitement when I was lucky enough to try the new BB Cream by Oasis Beauty. If you didn’t know already Oasis Beauty’s products are free of fragrance, parabens, mineral oil, phthalates, sulphates and nano-particles. They contain natural and organic ingredients and are made in good ol’ New Zealand. So they sure know how to produce products that are actually good for your skin but as a makeup artist I need to know if they actually work too.
Firstly one question I often get from my clients is, “What actually is a BB Cream?” A BB Cream is well…everything! A BB Cream is designed as an all-in-one moisturiser, mineral foundation, concealer, anti-ageing/skin correcting treatment and sunscreen.
What is great about using a BB Cream is that you just don’t need as many products on your face because a good BB cream will do it all.
Firstly I have tried a few natural BB Creams and they have fallen short in the coverage department so that was one big thing I wanted to check with the Oasis Beauty BB Cream. How did I find it? Fantastic! I loved the coverage. As you can see in the big selfie at the top of the page (haha) that the BB Cream gave my skin great coverage BUT without looking heavy.
Second I always want to see how long it lasts. If I am putting it on a client then I have to know that it will last all day and it did! I found that with a good moistuiser underneath it lasted all day. Without a base product it lasted till about 4ish then slightly faded but with a base product it lasted until late into the night! Yay!
And finally I always check the finish. The Oasis BB Cream is a matte finish. Now sometimes I don’t like matte finishes if it looks too harsh or cakey but this certainly didn’t look harsh at all. In fact I found it really gave my skin a soft velvet matte finish.
Overall I love this product. This is a great product if you have more oily skin. I recommend this to the woman on the go.If you don’t have a lot of time in the mornings and you need one product that will last and give coverage then this is your new bestie ♥
The Oasis Beauty BB Cream $49.90 comes in three shades. I used the Hepburn its a little warm for me now but perfect for the fast approaching summer!
