My French Inspired Makeup look

The French have given me some of my favorite things. Champagne, macarons, French cheese, and of course fries (jokes) So due to my love of France I decided to do a French inspired look in honor of Bastille Day. I paired the look with a high bun. I remember watching an episode of America’s Next Top Model and Tara and the models were in Paris and for their go-see’s and the models were told that the French find nothing more beautiful then a woman’s hair pulled into a low or high bun. This look is all about thick liner, bold brows and the strong red lip. Jouir (enjoy)

First I used a white eye shadow all over my eye lids as a base. I wanted my lids to be lighter not just skin color. I then applied my liquid liner in a large cat eye thick line. I used honestly the cheapest liquid liner. Its L.A colors and I think it was $5 haha but it works well. I have other liners but wanted to try the cheaper brand for this look.

I then took a eye shadow brush and used a mid tone brown shadow and blending it into my eye crease. this is super easy to do but it just take time to blend blend blend. I then used a dark Bobbi Brown eye shadow called Charcoal to slightly blend on top of the liner. I wanted the liner to be more blended rather then just a harsh cat eye. I applied white liner in my water line, used the same mid tone brown under my lash line as liner and finished with lots of mascara.

After my eyes I applied concealer under my eyes and I used Diorskin Forever Extreme Wear Flawless Makeup as my foundation. It gives a great coverage but still feels light. I then added bronzer on my forehead, cheeks and nose. I finished with MAC’s Eden Rouge red lipstick. Its one of my favorite everyday red lipsticks!
