The best Massage I have ever had

This week I had one of the most amazing experiences of my life. So if you follow me on insta you will see that I had a rather not so great massage at a place that will remain unnamed. Lets just say that place is a franchise. The massage room was cold, the lady stopped for long periods of time and wrote down notes (using precious minutes of the massage up) and at the end I really felt that she just wanted to sell me a bunch of products that I didn’t want. Luckily it was a mothers day voucher I used that I won ahaha so I didn’t waste my own money.

This bad experience bummed me out because getting a massage is one of my most favourite things to do. Like ever!

So if this post ended there it would be a sad story however this week I finally got the massage I had been waiting for. I was invited to enjoy a 90 minute 50/50 Hot Stone and Relaxation Massage by the lovely Kate from Body Formula. Firstly Kate has a lovely room in her beautiful home where she does her treatments so instantly you feel relaxed because you are in a lovely home not a (sometimes) uninviting salon.

Kate radiates positivity and you can instantly see this as her home and treatment room are filled with affirmations and encouraging poems.

The treatment room smelled amazing and was toasty warm…and I mean like perfectly warm and inviting. Kate explained the treatment perfectly to me and made it clear to let me know if I was too hot or cold. The massage bed had an electric blanket so I was toasty. Its things like this that seem little but nothing is worse than trying to relax during a massage but you have goosebumps from being too cold.

Anyways so the actual treatment started with Kate saying that now it was the start and time to relax and enjoy. She didn’t talk from that point so I could fully be present and connect to the experience. And thats the only way to describe the massage it was an experience. From when it started I just zoned out. I fully felt myself relax and I enjoyed every single minute. Kate’s hands didn’t leave my body once and when it was over I needed a minute to come back down ahahah.

I truly couldn’t recommend Kate more. She is based in Dairy Flat but even if you are based in Auckland central the drive is worth every second. I have her prices below for you to have a look at. I think its so important for women to treat themselves, to relax and to take time for just them and this is the perfect place to do that!
