Soft and smokey with a touch of gold

I thought it would be great to start to do some makeup looks of the day and sharing what products I used. This look is one of my favorites. Its a gold and brown mid smokey eye. I say mid because you can take this look and easily make it a lot darker or lighter. It would also look great amped up with some flase lashes. I kept it light by using only a soft brown under the eye and not using liner on my waterline.

This look is a fun date night look or even wedding look. A lot of brides that I have spoken recently are having touches of gold in their wedding and incorporating that into your makeup is always a nice touch!

On my skin I used MAC Prep and Prime Skin to even out my skin and it adds a lovely radiance.

I then applied the new Bobbi Brown Intensive Skin Serum Foundation in 3.5. This foundation is pretty new and its got some great things going for it. I will do a review about it soon.

For concealer I applied MAC Studio Sculpt Concealer under my eyes and on my spots.

You will have to excuse my brows they are in a awkward in between stage haha I am growing them out to get them a killer shape but till then its taking the discipline of a ninja to not tweeze so I just filled them in with Bobbi Brown Mahogany shadow using a brow brush.

For the eyes it was all about blending blending and then finishing it off with more blending. I used a soft brown shadow Sable from Bobbi Brown all over my lid and spent a bit of time blending that in, I then took a shade Charcoal and used it in my crease line with, you guessed it more blending and to finish this eye off I patted in the MAC Cinderella Pigment in Pretty It Up. This was so hard to catch in the photos but this shimmery gold dust steals the show.

I lined my eye with Revlon ColorStay eyeliner in black and used the Charcoal again to blend over the liner. Finished with my favorite Loreal Volume Million mascara in black and that was the eyes. Actually really simple.

I finished my skin off with bronzer (the name has come off), Definitely Defined Extra Dimention SkinFinish by MAC on my cheeks with a pop of Bobbi Brown Plum blush.

For lips it was as simple as it gets. I used MAC Bodly Bare lipliner all over my lips with a touch of gloss to finish. ♥
