There were certain shows at this year’s Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia where for me the makeup stole the show and the Oscar de la Renta: MBFWA 16 was one of those shows. The look was designed by Carol Mackie for MAC Cosmetics.
Oscar de la Renta officially closed Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia with its Summer 2016 collection. The first face was Australian model Shanina Shaik – flown out specifically for the event.
The show featured classic cocktail dresses and formal wear in florals, exotic prints and lace. There was a strong touch of ’60s glamour about some of the pieces which played perfectly with the makeup. This modern twist on the 60’s bold liner is beautiful and minimal. By keeping the rest of the face subtle the bold liner stands out and makes a statement. Bravo Oscar… bravo ♥
