I was lucky enough to be given the Nimue Super Hydrating Serum to try this week and it couldn’t have arrived at a better time! I don’t know about you but this winter has really taken it out of my skin. My skin has been dryer than its ever been with my forehead even getting flaky. The only thing I want flaky in my life is my Saturday morning croissant. Being a makeup artist I know that your makeup will only ever look as good as the skin underneath. I knew that the problem with my skin wasn’t just dryness but dehydration. So when I got my hands on the Nimue Super Hydrating Serum I couldn’t have tried it any faster.

If you haven’t used a serum before then I would  highly recommend you invest in a good serum that is the right match for your skin. The main reason you’d want to use a facial serum is to get added nutrients into deeper layers of your skin that a regular moisturizer is not able to reach.

I have used many serums in my life and for me what makes or breaks a good serum is how easily my skin absorbs it. If you apply a serum and it leaves your skin feeling tight then it means that it’s not hydrating enough for your skin. On the other hand if you apply a serum and it stays on top of your skin leaving it feeling greasy then its too hydrating for your skin.

What I loved about the Nimue Super Hydrating Serum is that my skin absorbed it perfectly. Nimue claims it’s like a glass of water for your skin and it really did feel like my skin was getting a hit of deep hydration. One of the other benefits I love is it’s excellent for treating puffiness and dark circles around the delicate eye area. Dark under eye circles are my enemy and I have actually seen an improvement since using the serum.

The Nimue Super Hydrating Serum is on the more expensive side but its a good investment for your skin. I would highly recommend this product for anyone who combats dry dehydrated skin ♥
